Philosophical foundation
An interdisciplinary perspective on cyber struggle took shape, developing offensive and defensive skills together and treating critical thinking, mental resilience and teaming as core capabilities rather than soft additions. It drew on security subjects from the social sciences — terrorism, psychological operations, conflict — and started from one premise: a cyber attack behaves like a guerrilla operation. The response was a new point of view, drawn from the special forces mindset.

The Ranger certification
Ranger emerged as Cyber Struggle’s flagship interdisciplinary certification, built around a simple principle: technical knowledge alone does not create readiness. Combining offensive and defensive cybersecurity with intelligence, war studies, critical thinking, leadership and resilience under pressure, Ranger developed professionals to remain functional and adaptive in uncertain environments. More than 400 cybersecurity experts have since experienced the methodology, creating the human-performance foundation behind the S46 platform.

S46 Metis
S46 Metis introduced an infrastructure-as-a-service layer for continuous wargaming and skill acquisition, giving organizations persistent access to realistic cyber environments without the burden of building and maintaining their own infrastructure. It expanded S46 from structured programs into an always-available capability development platform.

S46 G.R.A.S.P
S46 translated Cyber Struggle’s readiness methodology into a technology platform designed to expose and validate the response execution of incident response teams and agents under realistic cyber pressure. The first enterprise deployments followed, marking Cyber Struggle’s evolution from certification programs into operational readiness technology.

Globalization
Offices across EU West, the Baltics and the Bosphorus placed Cyber Struggle alongside its clients in three regions at once, turning delivery into a genuinely global operation. The S46 AI engine entered development and the certification ecosystem advanced toward scalable, automated delivery.
